Going with the flow

As many of you know we have recently relocated. The kids and I have moved to Ridgecrest Ca and are currently living with Grandma and Pop. Whilst Jeremy is renting a room from our good friend Dave. For those of you that didn't know all of this - SURPRISE!!!!

A lot of you want to know why. Good question. Sometimes the only answer I have is; it was the right thing to do at the time. How do we know that? We were working off of a religious hunch, otherwise known as revelation, that I should pass out some resumes around town while we were visiting Ridgecrest. Times are tough and we needed to act before anything bad or worse, depending on your perspective, could happen. I was asked to come in for a working interview within a few days so the babies and I stayed the following week. When Jeremy came that weekend the car broke down. We were stuck long enough for me to get a phone call from another dentist asking for a working interview. The kiddos and I stayed another week. I was offered the second job first negotiated higher pay than the dentist anticipated and will receive a 50 cent raise for each license I earn. I hope to earn another $2.00 a year by the end of December. I am still receiving phone calls for interviews which is something considering there were very few bites in Las Vegas. The job is fabulous! I love it!

It's hard for us to be away from Jeremy, but it's best at the moment as he has his heart set on journeying out of the union before joining us. Bev and Jay are very accommodating having cleared out a couple of rooms for us and helping us get settled and feel at home. We're working on it but being away from Daddy takes it's toll. It's nice for me to have them to rely on rather than being all alone somewhere that I don't know anyone for the first time ever.

Rosie and Jac are very excited to begin preschool at Immanuel Christian Child Development Center on Monday. They got backpacks (or pacpacs if you're Jac) for the first time. We met their teachers and classmates last week. Rosie is in the same class as one of my co-workers' son and Jac is up a level because of his vocabulary or something. We'll see how it goes because I may prefer him in a potty training classroom, in fact I do, but his teacher is excited to welcome him and intent on tackling the challenge. They will start gymnastics in a month and Rosie will go back to ballet too, She will attend the Sierra Dance Academy which works closely with the Nevada Ballet Theatre where she used to attend. Props to Grandma for picking her up in the middle of the day to take her to dance and back to school so she doesn't have to quit. The studio is very small. We hope to be able to put her in Suzuki violin in January so she can get the music stuff rolling to help with math and science challenges that will be coming her way next year in kindergarten and forever there after. Since pianos are big and pricey we'll go with the violin that is small and only kind of pricey.

Go ahead and say it. No, really i know what you're thinking; "That's a lot to do for little kids." Yep it is! We have great kids who are excited to make friends and learn. If we give them downtime they go nuts! Psycho! Bananas! They will get Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with no classes scheduled. We live in a place that's within reasonable driving distance to mountains, fields, lakes, theme parks, and the beach. I want to make sure the weekends are free for family, church and pajama days! Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are reasonable. So, really it's only three days a week and a little practice time on the others.

We're glad to be here and excited for Jeremy to join us within the next year. My intentions are to keep this updated with pictures and news, but you know what they say about intentions...

We love you all and will miss your faces. but good news we have Skype video chat!!!!! let us know if you do too! it will be fun!! Check back for the First Day of School post.

Love,
Jade

  4. Jade props to you. It is so very difficult living away from your spouse. Coming from the person who has lived without her spouse for over 8 months of this year. But actually you do adjust. I think it gets easier the longer we are apart. You learn to rely on your self. Good luck with the job, that is totally awesome and I know you will do great!! Enjoy those CA sunny days.
